Can't logon to W2K server from Win XP Pro client

We are have a W2K AD server with 17 Win XP Pro clients.
Two of the workstations are having intermittent problems
logging on to the server. The message that they are
getting is "Windows cannot connect to the domain, either
because the domain controller is down or otherwise
unavailable, or becuase your computer account was not
found...."

We have done the following:

1. Reset the users' password and accounts on the server.
2. Reformated the workstation and reinstalled from
scratch.
3. Install windows updates on both the workstations and
server.
4. Checked the DNS server settings.
5. Checked the DNS settings on the workstations.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

Stan

.

In the Clients event log, we have the following errors
reported:

EventID 1053. Windows cannot determine the user or
computer name. (Access is denied). Group Policy
processing aborted.

EventID 16. Automatic certificate enrollment for local
system failed to contact the active directory
(0x8007052b). Unable to update the password. The value
provided as the current password is incorrect. Enrollment
will not be performed.

EventID 3210. This computer could not authenticate with
XXXX, a Windows domain controller for domain XXXX, and
therefore this computer might deny logon requests. This
inability to authenticate might be caused by another
computer on the same network using the same name or the
password for this computer account is not recognized.

In the Server event log, we have:

EventID 5722. The session setup from the computer XXXX
failed to authenticate ... Access is denied.
