Can't Login

User brought me his home PC loaded with Windows 2000 Pro and is unable to
login anymore. I tried logging in with the Administrator account and
password, but that didn't work. I tried a password cracker, but it couldn't
find the registry.

Is there another trick for logging in or do I need to reload Windows?

Thanks,

John

If the password cracker is a good one and if it couldn't see the
registry then there might be drive corruption involved. Is the drive
accessible at the Recovery Console or when mounted to another Windows
installation? Does the drive test ok with diagnostic tools?
