to the exceptions box in the proxy setting dialog or
request the adminstrator to unable another authentication
scheme.

FrontPage uses the same Proxy settings as Internet Explorer. You can go to
Tools, Options, Proxy Settings in FP to access them. You'll need to get the
proxy information from your Network Administrator.

adding the server to the exceptions box in the proxy
setting dialog

In IE:

1. Choose Internet Settings from the Tools menu.
2. Click the Connections tab, and then the LAN Settings
button.
3. Select Use A Proxy Server For Your LAN and then either:
o Select Bypass Proxy Server For Local Addresses.
(This would apply if your PC and the FrontPage Web
server are on the same network.)
o Click the Advanced button, and then add your Web's
DNS name to the Exceptions box.

To test these changes, try browsing your FrontPage site,
some other public sites, and if applicable some internal
sites.

Whoever administers the proxy server may need to help you
with this. Presumably, only that administrator (or group)
knows the exact settings in effect and/or required.

Your Web server's administrator would have to do this for
you. In all probability, the server is only accepting
Windows authentication, and the proxy server is blocking
traffic on those ports. You site probably needs to accept
Basic authentication as well.
