I wonder if someone out there can help me. I have a
relative who has got windows xp home edition, for some
reason his machine wont let any of his user accounts log
on. whatever he chooses as soon as the user logs on it
automatically logs him off. This also happens when trying
to boot into safe mode.

Does anyone have any ideas some possible solutions for me
to try. I wont be able to get my hands on the machine
until friday to try anything, but any possible solutions
that would enable me to repair it and keep the users data
would be appreciated. The last resort will be a complete
format and re-install and I would like to avoid that if
possible

Hi

Have 'Last Known Good Configuration' been tried - same screen as Safe Mode?

I am having the same exact same problem. Today I did a
virus and ad-ware scan and afterward I was not able to
sign on, even in safe-mode. I tried using the option
for "last good configuration" and it still did not work.

Unable to logon to Windows after removing BlazeFind using a spyware removal
utility?

I have got him to bring me his machine tonight, so will try
that, hopefully it will sort it out

I have a similar problem, whereas, only users with an administrator account
CAN log on but limited users CAN NOT.
I am running XP Home Service Pack 1.
I run- Sbybot S&D, Ad-aware 6.0, Spy Sweeper(subscribed), Pest Patrol, Sby
Subtract (Freeware version), and AOL spyware remover all on a regular basis.
Sometimes I think thats the bulk of my computer time, heh heh. I am also
using a licensed version of Zone Alarm Pro.
Might this fix work for me?
