can't log on as administrator

Ihave a computer I bought from someone who's wife died.
She was the administrator. There is only one account that
comes up on log on screen. It is a limited user account.
How do I get in?

Assuming it is windows XP Home on that computer try this,
1-When it is booting up keep hitting "F8" Key to get in the safe mode
2-Once there you will see the limited account and another account named "Administrator".
3-Click on "Administrator" account and it should take you in as an Administrator.
4-Now simply goto your control panel and create new users, give permissions etc
