can't log off

Please help! When I try to log off, nothing happens. Do I just manually turn
the computer off? Thanks.
 
Julie..... Have you had this problem in the past, or is
this the first??

I'd try a manual shut down. After it's off, wait like 10-
15 seconds and start her up again. After a few minutes,
try your shut-down again. Hopefully it'll correct itself.
