I keep getting that error everytime I try and load my database. It says that
there is an error in the registry. Does anyone have a suggestion? It's
Access 97 on a WinXP computer.

A little more information

I tried creating a new database. Something simple and quick using the
wizard. I tried to create a mailing list and it came up with "Access can't
load the 'h' format. The entry in the registry is incorrect" I'm thinking
that my OS has somehow corrupted the registry as I can still use the database

Thank you again Danny, unfortunately it gave me gobbledygook for a
translation. Any other suggestions? ^.^

Update, kinda

I had a tech come out and have a look at the computer. He tried the usual
things I did, uninstalling, reinstalling. He tried to load the switchboard
manager but it wouldn't let him. He went into the registry and took out all
the information for Access and reinstalled office to no avail. I need to get
this up and running before next Wednesday when I leave on holidays. Is my
only solution to wipe the hard drive? Please tell me it isn't. I will check
back over the weekend.
