can't launch url's after removal of 3rd party browser?

I can't launch url links. I installed a browser called myie2, then
removed it, and now when I double click on a url file I get
a message : can't locate "myie2". I checked the "file types"
menu for the .url entry and compared it to another pc, all
seems fine there. What else might it be, any ideas?
 
Try this

Open IE, Tools, Internet options, Programs, and check mark in box for
Internet Explorer to see if it's default browser. (that may trigger the
url to reset for you)
