Can't launch "Outlook Newsreader"

I have the direct link NEWS "button" to launch "Outlook Newsreader" set up
in Outlook 2003, and it did work before, now it launches this folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\1033

Using XP, Office 2003.

Any idea how I can get this back to how it was please?

Open IE and see what's in the "Newsgroups" dropdown on Tools>Internet
Options>Programs. If it's not Outlook Express, click the drop-down and
select it.
