Can't install outlook 2000

I did a repair of my Windows 2000 Pro installation. Now I can't install Outlook 2000 or Mcafee Virus scan. I am logging on as administatrator I get the message that administrator privilages will not allow the install.

This happened to me once in a Windows 2000 Professional installation. From what I understand this "Administrator" account can lose its functionality sometimes. That is why many here suggest to make sure you have more then one account with Administrator privledges. I didn't have that on that machine. I had to remove that operating system. The search for a fix would have been more time consuming then to just start over.

I believe my problem originated with AOL software at the time. Well it happened after a removal of their AOL browser 7.
