Can't install or uninstall BCM

L

L.C. LLC

I'm (trying) to run the Office 2007 beta and everything is going swimmingly
except for BCM. I don't use that functionality in SBA but I would like it
to work so I can start experimenting with it. At present I can not
uninstall or install or use or modify the BCM installation. I've even tried
to uninstall all parts of MS Office and then start over. I can't get it to
work in version 2003 or 2007. Does anybody have any ideas here? This topic
has been hanging around for a couple of weeks now with no answers. My
invitation is pending to the SBA 2007 group so I can't go there for answers.
Ideas? Suggestions? Alternative Procedures?

Thanx, ;-)

A related question - After installing Office 2007, do you install Outlook
with BCM on top of Office 2007 and its version of Outlook? Or do you need
to uninstall the plain vanilla version of Outlook first? Or do you need to
install Outlook with BCM on a different computer or as an additional
application somehow on a machine where Office 2007 has been installed?

Thanks

I almost have the same issue. How do you install only outlook 2007? Since
the link downloads outlook with BCM and when you try to install it states
Outlook should be installed first.

Guys,
I think you have to install MS Office 2007 Beta first, then Outlook 2007 w/
BCM. When I did so, I also configured install Beta 2007 separately, and to
keep all my Office 2003 apps, but Outlook is different and you're forced to
install Outlook 2007, and uninstall Outlook 2003. So now I have Office 2003
minus Outlook, and Office 2007 including Outlook 2007 with BCM.

I think MS changed their beta download instructions because I, too, tried to
install just Outlook 2007 one day, failed, left it for the next day, and when
I reran the download/install I read where I have to install the whole Office
Beta first. I don't think the messaging was there previously.

The Office Beta is HUGE, so download and park it somewhere in case you need
to install again or install to another PC.
I parked the Beta on my second machine...just in case.
