Can't install my Printer

THe computer sees the printer (HP psc 1210v all-in-one) but it will not
install it. It keeps telling me that the files are missing? What is that?
Where do I find them. I have the CD that HP gave me, but HP thinks it's a
issue with my Windows XP, which I had to reinstall after a crash. It didn't
quite install right...but everything worked until I tried to readd my
printer.

Please help

Thnx,
Bert

Disconnect the All in One from the PC.

Download and run the Software Cleanup Utility from the HP website:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?dlc=en&lc=en&product=90770&lang=en&cc=us&os=228

While you are there, download a new set of the driver software package...
yes, sorry, all 166mb of it and the three critical updates.

After running the Cleanup, reboot. Run the new driver software you have
just downloaded... do not connect the printer to the PC until it tells you
to do so.

What are the file names it appears to be missing?

Did you try a System File Check, it will replace missing and/or corrupt
system files. Have your XP disk handy for it may ask for it.

Start>Run>type SFC /SCANNOW (space between C and /)
