Help with "Document Failed to Print"

I have an HP PSC 1210V printer that is causing major
problems with my newly upgraded windows XP system. Since
installing windows XP, I get a "Document Fialed to Print"
error message whenever I print. I contacted HP and they
said it is a "confirmed Microsoft issue" and I have to
deal with Microsoft for a resolution. Can anybody here
help me?

Reinstall the printer drivers or re install the software that came with your
printer.. Contact hp.com to Download the latest drivers or installation
software.

Uninstall the Printer driver. If you obtain the latest driver [XP
compatible] diconnect the printer from the computer, intall the driver and
wait for it to tell you to connect the printer to the computer. If by
chance it doesn't tell you, wait till the driver is fully installed then
connect the printer.

This problem somtimes occurs when you upgrade to XP with the printer still
connected to the computer.
