Cant install Belkin 4-port USB Hub

Hi. I am hoping someone can help me with this. I have Windows XP Prof. SP1. I just bought an external USB for my computer (XP compatible). When I try to install it XP cannot find the drivers. It goes into a loop of trying to install it. It works on my laptop and when I tried a friends' external USB, it wouldn't work either.

It was suggested that I may have corrupted drivers. I am not sure. Any suggestions?

I had a problem with a Belkin router. I called there tech support number(
Free) and found the support great.
