My friend send me an Excel Spreadsheet created in 2000. Neither he or I (I am
using 2003) can insert a new row without getting this message which doesn't
make sense to me:
To prevent possible loss of data, Microsoft Office Excel cannot shift
nonblank cells off the worksheet.
Try to locate the last nonblank cell by pressing CTRL+END, and delete or
clear all in cells between the last cell and the end of your data. Then
select cell A1 and save your workbook to reset the last cell used.
Or, you can move the data to a new location and try again.
There is no protection on it, I tried to copy the 250 rows into a new
worksheet but that didn't work either. I don't understand this error message.
Interestingly, however, I am able to insert columns but no rows.
Any ideas?!
