Can't Hotmail through OE on XP

I keep getting a "socket" error, with the number 80005004. Can anyone suggest a way to connect to my Hotmail account via Outlook Express?

I tried this for a while and then realized that it wasn't going to work. I
setup MS Outlook instead.
 
worked on mine for years until I got Outlook 6 months ago.
in OE tools-accounts-add-mail-username-email address-under account type
change to http and select hotmail where it says other.
I've never had a problem with it.
