Every time I click on My Documents I get a window saying Windows Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close.

Here at the details when I clicked "show details":

Error signature --

AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: divxdec.ax
ModVer: 5.2.1.1335 Offset: 00003c18

Reporting details --

This error report includes: information regarding the condition of Windows
Explorer when the problem occured; the operating system version and computer
hardware in use, your Digital Product ID, which could identify your license;
and the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer.

Please tell me how to fix this. Thank you.

Try de-installing the divx encoder in start/control panel/software. The
divxdec.ax file belongs to the divx codec and is probaly trying to load
a preview of a movie that is in your my documents folder

Good luck,

Erik

You have a DivX encoded video file which is throwing an error when Explorer
tries to make the thumbnail for it.

Delete the video file (using the command prompt) and you should again be
able to access the folder.

Thank you very much! I removed Divx and it worked!

You could've just made a new folder and pointed My Documents to that folder.
