Can't get words to wrap at right margin in word 2004

in word 2000 words at the end of the a line at the right margin wrap if they
don't fit on the same line. I can't seem to get word 2004 to do this. I've
got it set to left align and hyphenation is off, but it still breaks the word
as thought it is hyphenating(without the actual hyphen) Is there some options
check box to turn this on or off? I can't find anything.

This is usually an indication of document corruption, a damaged font, or an
Asian language setting. For the first case, see

Word 2004 is a Mac version. Is that correct, are you using a Mac? I think
it's just a typo. Please take care to state your correct version.

Anyhow, if line breaks are occurring in the middle of words without
hyphenation, something is damaged. Maybe the document is corrupt?

The first way to check for a corrupt document is to
copy the entire thing, *excluding* the last paragraph mark, into a new
document. That last paragraph mark holds a lot of information which can get
corrupted, and copying the text into a document with a fresh one keeps your
formatting, but can fix some glitches.

A paragraph mark is a ¶. Click on ¶ on the standard toolbar to show
nonprinting characters, including paragraph marks.
