Can't get WLAN and LAn to co-exist

I have a PC connected to a wireless network and a Mac connected to my PC via
ethernet. Whenever I have my Mac ethernet connection enabled it stops me from
accessing my workgroup and consequently my wireless network. I can't even
access the Mac.

I have been able to get the Mac to connect to the PC but not the other way
around. I have a P4 2Ghz Win XP sp2 using a DLink Dwl g122 wireless adapter.
My Mac is a G4 PCI 400Mhz.

How can I get both to exist in harmony?

as an additional question is there a way to have more than one workgroup?

Make sure that the two networks have IP addresses in different
subnets. For example, if the Ethernet network uses
192.168.0.x/255.255.255.0 assign 192.168.1.x/255.255.255.0 to the
wireless network.

Windows networks support multiple workgroups, and a computer in any
workgroup can access a computer in any other workgroup. Workgroups
don't provide any type of security or access control.
