Can't Get window's mail to send emails through my gmail account

Can anybody help me, i've got my gmail email account to sync with my inbox
but i can't send messages it's telling me that

The host 'stmp.gmail.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'Install for bose system', Account: 'pop.gmail.com', Server:
'stmp.gmail.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error:
11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

I've gone through the step by step in my gmail server and the windows help,
what do i do to make it work
