Cant Get Rid of Folder on Desktop

There are 2 unused folders on my desktop that I tried to delete but each time
I try and access them I get a message as follows: "refers to a location that
is unavailable." How do I get to these to delete them?

Try deleting from safe mode, or scan for spyware using the Lavasoft Adaware
software, download from here:
