Can't get properties

Running WinXP with all updates. Suddenly I can't get the properties of a
folder to show...either by right-clicking, or by choosing properties from
the file menu.
Any ideas?
Also having trouble with installing new programs.
Norton AV says I'm free of viruses.
 
I've XP prof and all update installed, and i've same your problem.
I prove to create some new admin account. They works in the beginning and I see property for one or two session, then, after, all don't work anymore.
I don't understand where is the problem! I hope someone helps me!
