Can't get on the Internet - says "little or no connectivity"

This morning the Internet worked fine, then I cleaned up my computer
and uninstalled a few programs I didn't need. When I try to connect to
the Internet now, a message appears in the lower right-hand corner of
the screen saying that the connection has "little or no connectivity,"
and I can't get on the net. I'm using a cable modem with a LAN, the
other computers can connect to the Internet, just not mine. I'm pretty
sure that I didn't delete anything important. Can someone help with
this?

Thanks, Brad Burton

Are you using Windows XP ?If yes, SP1 or SP2?
Check Tools -> Internet Options->Connections Tab ->LAN settings. Make sure
that Automatically detect settings box is checked and use proxy server is
unchecked.
You can also download and run this program if you got XP to repair your
winsocket:
