Can't get my new XP computer to find the Win2000 computer on my home network

Does anyone out there know what needs to be done in order
for my XP computer to find the Win2000 computer? I use a
router connected to a cable modem. I have no problem
finding the XP computer from the Win2000 computer, but
access is denied when I try to find the Win2000 from the
XP. FYI, a box comes up for me to fill in my name and
password, but when I put in the info, a message comes on
that says access is denied, etc. Any suggestion will be
much appreciated!
 
Have you defined your userid and password to that windows2000 computer?
Access denied sounds like you haven't.
