Can't Get My Mail At work when I view it at home on winows mail

When I get my mail on my laptop at home using windows mail, it is no longer
on the server so that when I go to get my mail at work, everything that was
on windows mail is no longer there. How can I fix that?
 
Configure Windows Mail on both computers to leave messages on the server.

Assuming it's a POP account...
Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced
[x] Leave a copy of messages on server
[x] Remove from server after xx days
