Can't get localhost to work in FP2003

H

hih

Hi,

I've reloaded my software from scratch:

XP Pro (disk from 2002)
Office 2000
FrontPage 2003
Windows SP2
FrontPage 2002 Serv Ext
(including updates & patches)

Localhost works, but in IIS, I keep getting error
messages, because FP is using the machine name instead of
localhost (ie
http://machine_name/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadmdll.dll?
page=health.htm, instead of http://localhost/....). I
searched the previous posts, but I'm unable to pin down
the post that may provide the answer to what is
misconfigured in my setup. Could some one please suggest
what could be wrong. I'm assuming XP doesn't use
Personal Web Server 4.0? IIS is installed fine, and
http://localhost resolves in my browser.

Many thanks,
hih

What happen when you use http://machinename?

Also it would have been better to have installed the FP2002 extensions prior to installing SP2.
