Howdy,
I have one XP system on our LAN.
If I connect that system to the LAN with Cat5 cable, it
immediately gets an IP address assigned, and can browse.
If I attempt to connect that system to the LAN via wireless,
things are more complex:
Often, it gets its IP address and can then browse, but
often, it shows that it is "Connected" to the "Excellent"
wireless link, and is "Getting an IP Address." Then, after a
few moments, it shows "Connected" which would seem to
indicate that it received the IP address, but that is not
the case.
At that point, there is no error displayed, but there is no
IP address assigned, and, of course, I cannot browse.
What might this be about?
Thanks,
