Can't get email

When I try to log on to Windows Mail a box pops up that says, "Windows
Security", then it goes on to say, "Please verify that both the username and
password are correct for your mail server". It has a box for both. When I
put my username and password in the boxes I still can't send or receive my
email. Although, I can get my email through webmail. I was wondering if
anyone knows what the problem is. My ISP cannot fix the problem. I am on
satellite with a router set-up.

This problem may be caused by running a non-compatible
antivirus program. Windows Mail is not compatible with most
McAfee or Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled.
Then, at your convenience, install a more compatible antivirus
like the free Avast:

If the problem still exists after uninstalling your antivirus, it
means that the antivirus has corrupted that account.
Delete that mail account, then create it again from scratch.
