I have been into the command console and used the powercfg /hibernate on and
powercfg /-h to no avail.

I don't think I have removed anything, and I use hibernate a lot, but it
wont turn the pc off and fully hibernate.... just turn the screen off....

Can someone help please?

did a little hunt....

enter the cmd window

powercfg /hibernate on
exit

restart pc

cmd

powercfg -h on
exit

restart

all done now
