Can't fix IE 6 while using ME

I have had repeated errors with IE 6 using the ME platform. I have tried to
update the listed problems by updating .dll files as instructed. I have tied
to reinstall 6 but it won't work and says problems occureed. Now the error
lists MSDXM.OCX.

Seems no matter what I attempt to fix something else has a problem. Since IE
does not really uninstall suing the add-remove and reinstall doesn't either I
am forced to use Firefox which is OK but not my desire. Any ideas?

This workaround was used many times to sort out the problens with the error
message "unable to install al components" when installing IE6SP1 on WinME
systems.

Maybe it will work for you too. Try this:

Go to My Computer - Tools - Folder Options - View:
- Select "Show hidden files and folders", click Apply - OK

Create a folder named "Old uninstall".

Go to folder C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Uninstall Information.

Now Edit - Select All - Cut all files.

Open "Old uninstall" folder and paste the files.

Install IE6SP1.

If everything works as expected, you can delete the "Old Uninstall" folder
and the files you moved.
