cant find server message

When i am on line ans want tomove from one site to
another or am at a site then click back i get a message
not connected to the internet and server can not be found
yet i am still connected to net but screens won't display
 
Empty your cache, right-click your browser icon, properties, delete files or within
IE, tools, Internet Options, delete files.
