Can't Find Outlook Today.htm

JamesJ

I just purchased and received a book called "Using Microsoft
Office Outlook 2003". I'm attempting to modify the Outlook Today
page but can't find it. The book explains to find it examine the
properties of the Outlook Today folder. I don't see a folder
called Outlook Today anywhere on my system and that includes
the Folder List in Outlook. I have searched my entire system for
outlook.htm, outlook.html and many, many others. Any help
will be appreciated.

Thanks,
James

Ctrl+6 to open the folder list - scroll to the very top - the folder with
the house icon is the outlook today folder. Right click on it and choose
properties to change the folder home page, which is res://C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\1033\outlwvw.dll/outlook.htm by default.
It's compressed in a dll, you need to use VS to edit it.
