Can't "Find" or "Search" for computers

I cannot find the Vista version of "Find" or "Search" for computers. Please
advise. Thnx

in the search box enter
\\computername

Thanks that was helpful but I'm still not able to locate computers on the
network

so you don't "see" other computers when you click on

Start - Network

 

[Guest]

There are about 150 computers on the network. Approx 6 display
automatically. The search function doesn't seem to be able to locate any
other computers.

I am quite sure I have the right network connection settings.

I'm really grateful for your help!
