can't find ms works after smart restore

After a smart restore (crashed due to complete novices stupidity) seem to
have lost MS office/works. Am not keen to search too hard for it incase I do
more harm than good!
 
Searching first is always a good idea. As long as you don't move or delete
anything or double-click on unknown files, you'll be fine.
 
*How* did you perform this smart restoration? If this was a re-install from
the PC's recovery disc, the application may have to be re-installed.
