Can't Find Exchange Server?

When I attempt to open Outlook (just installed 2002) why
does it try to open Microsoft Exchange Server? What is
this and how can I get Outlook to open correctly?

go to control panel, mail applet and delete the exchange account from your
profile and create an account for the type of mail account you have.
