Just got a worksheet from a friend, and column A is not showing.
tried selecting the entire worksheet, then unhide, no luck. I the
selected the entire worksheet, then unhide, and then change colum
width, still no luck.

Any help appreciated

Couple of choices:
Hit <F5> and in the reference box enter
A:B
Right click in the selection and choose "Unhide".

If that doesn't work, try
<Windows> <Unfreeze Panes>

Try
EDIT>GO TO type in A1 and click ok. Then FORMAT>COLUMNS>UNHIDE and your
missing column should appear.
