Can't enter new appointments?

I just reinstalled MS Office 2005 2003 and now I am not able to enter new
appointments in my Calendar. When I double-click on the calendar or select
the new appointment button on the tool-bar, nothing happens!
 
did you find a solution? I've got same problem. I see lots of postings for
this issule, but no solutions.
