Can't Enable Internet Connection

Doug

I have a very puzzling situation. My Internet connection
has been working fine for weeks. Now, out of the blue I
can't connect to the internet. I can still connect to
email, I can get my "Live Update" from Norton Antivirus,
I can access information from another computer connected
to my home network, and my kids can acces Instant
Messaging. So I have a good connection. But I can't get
the Internet connection working again.

When I go to "Network Connections", there's an icon
for "Internet Connection" which says it's "disabled". So
I click "enable" - it says it completes the connection,
yet it still shows up as disabled - it won't enable the
connection no matter what I do. I'm assuming this is my
problem, but don't know why it won't enable my connection.

I'm stumped on this one. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Doug,
Try to repair your winsock but first make certain that
you don't have any spyware/parasites on your machine.
Repair winsock tools: http://cexx.org/lspfix.htm
Spyware tools:
Download, install, *update* and run these two programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/ (Remove items
