Can't edit with frontpage anymore

When I try to edit my site/s with Frontpage (2000 or XP) I no longer get asked for a username and password and there is no folder list to the left of the page being edited. I can only get to the one page which was open before I chose the edit option. If I do edit and save the page nothing changes - the page does not save. This happens on any computer I try on either version of Frontpage. Has anyone experienced these problems. It only seems to have started in the last couple of weeks.
 
It sounds like you're just opening a page, instead of opening a web and then opening a page within that web.
