Windows Vista Can't download Windows Messenger

Running windows Vista & IE7 on my new PC but trying to download Windows Messenger onto my PC, it's goes through the download process but then comes up with the following message :-

"You do not have the permissions required to install Windows Messenger on this computer. Please contact a person who has full permissions on this computer"

Sure it's something simple, can anyone help ?
