Can't display slides vertically on a adjustable flat panel monitor

I'm trying to run a powerpoint slide show vertically in Powerpoint 2003 on a
Dell Optiplex GX170L computer & 2100FP (20 inch flat panel) monitor. I can
adjust the monitor physically so that it is vertical and go into the Intel
Graphics properties and change the rotation of monitor to 90 degrees (right
click desktop choose graphics properties and Rotation tab) so that Windows XP
is vertical which looks pretty cool but when I go into PowerPoint 2003 the
slides still show horizontally.

Is there a setting in PowerPoint 2003 I can adjust so that the slide show is
also shown vertically?

Reading that KB article, since you are not using a Tablet PC you may find that
there is no work around for you. If you ARE able to get it working, please let
us know what the solution is.

I'm sorry to say this didn't work. We went into the Intel Graphics
Properties settings (right click on the desktop, choose Graphics Properties,
Rotation tab set it to 90 Degrees) then did the steps in the Office
Knowledgebase document and the slides were still horizontal.

As expected. As the KB article says, "Currently, there is no work around for
this problem if you are using a desktop computer that has video driver settings
that enable the screen orientation to be rotated when you rotate the monitor. "

If you read Tolz response he said it worked on Digital displays.

hmm, the person who posted that was using digital display, thats why he said
it works for digital display also.

FYI I DID GET IT TO WORK as the link suggessted but I did check USE
HARDWARE ACCELERATION!!!!
