Can't display Sent Items

Just installed TR. Error message: "The messaging interface has returned an
unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook."

I have 6116 items in this folder. All other folders work properly.

After installing the 2007 Office Technical Refresh, Outlook can no longer
display my Sent Items folder contents. Sorry for the abbreviation.

Sorry, you did not announce for WHICH version of Outlook that you
needed help, and I don't use betaware since I don't have the time to
expend on voluntary and unpaid betaware testing. Sounds like your PST
file or identity is corrupted. I don't know of a way to repair an
identity other than to create a new one, then point it at your old
..pst file to see if it can read your old PST file. If the PST file is
corrupted, you could try using DBXtract of DBXpress
(http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtract/Default.aspx).

It is generous of you to take the time to offer a suggestion on a version
that you haven't used.

When asking for help, please mention which version. The versions
exist because each contains added functionality or change in behavior.
What works for fixing a problem in one version may not work or even be
applicable to a different version.

So did creating a new identity give you the standard set of folders?
If so, try using the old .pst file with the new identity. Unless I
have missed the posts, whether old or beta version, I haven't seen
anyone suggesting how to repair corrupted identities. I have,
however, seen suggestions to create new identities and use your old
data there.

I had the same problem, unable to display the contents of the sent
items folder (Office 2007 after the Beta 2 Technical Refresh). Running
the inbox scan/repair tool (%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office
12\Scanpst.exe) solved the problem in just a couple of moments.

Good luck.
