Can't display - DNS errors

Whenever I try to access the windows updates and mail I
get the "can't display... DNS error" message. However, the
automatic windowsupdate still works. Does anyone have
ideas what the prolem could be?

Can someone please post if they find a resolution to this.
I spoke to Microsoft support for an hour and a half and
they couldn't help. I've seen many posts on this but no
resolutions.
