Can't disconnect from network drive which was physically removed?

Good day all!
I had a co-workers removable drive mapped. While my machine was running he
disconnected his removable drive to take home. When he reconnected my link to
his drive would not re-establish and is now corrupted. All I get is "Do not
have user rights" messages. I can't disconnect from his drive because Windows
can no longer see it. In fact it doesn't even show up in my list of mapped
drives to disconnect. The worst part is now I can't access his machine at
all. Even when all other local machines can (he turned passwords off and is
wide open). If I log on as a different user I can access his machine right
away. Does anyone know of a way to clear this corrupted mapped drive
information? Restoring did not work, Reg Clean didn't fix it and neither did
disc clean up? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP! Grant.

Can you get to his machine at all (i.e. map other drives, browse 'network
neighborhood', or 'search' for computers or people)?
