cant directly import wab and dbx into outlook2003

I have recently bought a new PC which has outlook2003 and win xp pro.
My old pc has outlook express and win2k pro.

So I copied the wab and dbx files from the old pc onto a cd and then tried
to import these files into Outlook2003 on the new pc... no such luck as the
IMPORT facility on outlook2003 does not seem to be able to be directed to
these file types.
So whats my plan now...... How do I transfer all the messages,
address/contact details from one pc running OE over to another pc running
outlook2003?

Ask in an OE group how to transfer to OE first. Then you can import into
Outlook.
