Can't Delete the original front end database

I have a database split into front and back end. I originally named the
front end "Contract ". I copied it and pasted to my C drive. I made few
changes, copied and pasted back to the original drive changing the name to
"Contract Team". I went to delete the "Contract" database but it keeps
popping back in the folder. with .ldb file also like somehow it's linked to
the new one i just pasted.
How would I get rid of that? Why is it doing that? Thank you!

Sounds like someone has contract.mdb open (as indicated by the ldb file).
If you are certain that no one has Contract open, delete the ldb file, and
then the Contract file.
