I tried to back up my WINNT file on cd, and it said file to large. I tried to
delete it, and it won't let me delete.

Access is denied.

Now I can't copy anything else on cd. I don't know what to do.
I did try sysem restore for several different days, but it always comes back
on with files waiting to be written.

This is what I cant delete.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks

I have had the same problem as Dreamdriven and have not been able to delete
the backup temporary file because it includes Windows files that are actively
being used in the operating system. So an error message says you can't
delete this large backup file. Please, can anyone help?

Wholookme is a program I use to find out what is locking a file. You can
kill the thing that is locking the file and as such you can the delete it.
If this sounds like the thing you need then here is the link to the said
program:

NIK

Delete the file in Safe Mode
or
Open Task Manager end task "explorer.exe", attempt to delete the file now.

If this does not help, Use process explorer (www.sysinternals.com) to see which process has locked that file.
