Try shutting Windows down, restarting and then try to delete the folders.
Alternately, try logging off, then on; try deleting the folders.

Hello, there are some files and folders that I can't delete.
For example

There are folders FOUND.000 and inside there are files FILE000.CHK.
I can delete files but when I want delete such folder
I get: "Cannot remove folder Df121: It is being used by another
person or program".

There are also "Systeme Volume information" that with found.000
folders eats up all the disk space.

It seems as if the system wants to prevent me from removing files
that it thinks indispensable.
How can I remove files and folders despite it?

Backup everything important to you ASAP!

Download and utilize the hard disk drive manufacturer's diagnostics
utility... You may have a dying hard disk drive.

Thank you very much

if your HDD is old then ya its on its deathbed, if its a usb drive then its
not uncommon. That happened to a brand new HDD of mine.

You have to grant your user account permission to modify the found.000
contents

Using XP pro
right click > properties > security allow access for your account

Xp home
Try this method
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/309531
its to gain access to system volume but sub it for the found.000 folders.

also you might want to try Unlocker for other issues like this

Hi Serge,

DON'T try to delete the folder "System Volume Information". It's needed
by Windows.

err yes thank you for adding that

I think he wants to delete the FOUND.OOO files though, you can delete system
volume files by disabling system restore in control panel, this will erase
all your backups. Be sure to enable system restore againn though!

I just gave some info on how to ACCESS and modify certain files and folders
that are otherwise off limits, be sure what the files are before you delete
them
