can't delete soft return

Any ideas on why a soft return would show in my document when I have track
changes on and am reviewing them. The margins are okay and no strange
indents or anything are showing on the ruler.

My line is just shorter than it should be with a soft return that won't be
deleted. I have to type the whole paragraph again to get rid of it and I
don't want to as when track changes are on it'll just confuse the reviewer as
to what was changed.

any ideas?

Since it's only appearing when Track Changes is turned on, try doing an
"Accept Change" on just the soft return so that it won't be shown as a
tracked change.
