Can't delete movie file

I can't delete this movie that I have because evertime I
try to, an error box appears saying that the file is being
used by another program even though I don't have any
programs running.

I am having the same problem on two video files I tried
deleting them but I keep getting the error message << the
file is being user by an other person or application close
dowm the application and try again>>

I have tried every thing but I just cannot get rid of the
vidio files short of reinstalling win XP

I have also noticed that explorer.exe is using a lot of
CPU memory (it loops at 90 to 100)% where as the CPU
memory is normally retained in the <<system idle>>
program.

I wonder if the two incidents are related

I would appreciate some help

Regards

Aggy

Try right clicking somewhere, like your desktop, make a new
text file, then name it the same exact file name as the one
you wanna delete. Then cut and paste it over the movie you
wanna delete. This works 95% of the time for me.

To correct this misbehavior in Windows XP, remove the
following registry key.

Goto Start>>Run>>Type "regedit" goto
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{87D62D94-71B3-
4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}\InProcServer32] - delete this key

This will prevent Explorer from loading shmedia.dll in
response to file property queries on these files.

Actually make SURE that you are not running a program such as kazaa. If you
are sharing that file with ANY application, there is a chance that it isn't
free because of it. Besides that, I would try deliberately sharing it in
kazaa, then using the "my kazaa" tool to try deleting the file, and chosing
"delete from harddrive." If this doesn't work, then try moving the file into
another folder (chances are you won't be able to do this because if you
could, then you would just as easily be able to move it into your trash
bin.) If you can't move it into another folder, then move all of the other
files in that folder into some other folder to back them up, and delete the
folder containing the unwanted files. At least one of these things should
work, and they have always worked for me.
